Before the Sale

Your Part

Our Part

1. Mark items you want
Discuss any items you wish to keep at our initial meeting. If the items cannot be removed before the sale, we can move them to a separate area during the sale. Any items you wish to keep will be specified in the contract.
1. Set up the sale
Our Remarkable Employees carefully arrange your items to be seen and to sell. We provide any extra tables, table covers, etc. required to display your items.
2. Don't throw ANYTHING away!
Rule Number One is worth repeating: please donate nothing and throw nothing away before the sale. Many unusual things sell at estate sales.
2. Price the items
Research and consideration go into every price tag.
3. Set any minimum prices
You may tell us if there is an item you would like to sell for not less than a specific amount. However, please be aware that eliminating negotiation from the price of an item makes that item less likely to sell.

3. Offer a time frame.
The average time for an estate sale process is 10-14 business days, but each sale varies based on size and timing. The actual sale itself normally runs for two days.
4. Advertise & release the sale address
We advertise your sale widely, from newspapers to websites, to bring you as many customers as possible. We release the address online only a day or two before the sale, because waiting to post the address helps protect your house and items.
